Temple View is a suburb of Hamilton on New Zealand’s North Island. Thousands of Latter-day Saints and others have made the community their home since the 1950’s.

The suburb takes its name from the Hamilton New Zealand Temple, a sacred edifice built by volunteers, called “Labour Missionaries,” in the 1950’s.

In the Hamilton New Zealand Temple, as well as in similar Latter-day Saint temples around the world, the gospel of Jesus Christ is taught, and families are united in eternal relationships.

Latter-day Saint temples are different to the faith’s meetinghouses (sometimes called "chapels") which are used for Sunday worship services and weekday activities and meetings. Read more about Latter-day Saint temples and meetinghouses.
