Saturday, 20 August 2016 will be an eventful day for individuals and families wishing to improve their lives through employment, financial, health, dental, education, genealogy, self-reliance and other opportunities.
Tamaki Stake, a local unit of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is sponsoring Te Mana O Te Aroha, an event designed to increase awareness in the community about local and national services and resources which are available to those interested.
Community members are invited to participate in free health screenings, discover pathways to higher education, find employment and career opportunities, learn how to prepare for emergencies, overcome drug and alcohol abuse, curb domestic violence, and much more.
The event is at the Otara Pool & Leisure Centre from 10.00 am – 1.00 pm with stalls and booths. At 2.00 pm, live music and performances will feature the Polynesian spirit come to life as guests watch a thrilling show featuring the symbolic tale of “The Song of The Child.”
Participants will also enjoy prizes, giveaways, sausage sizzle, and live performances from some of Otara’s finest.
