    A testimony does not necessarily just happen spontaneously.

    Gaining a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ requires some effort, and often comes as a result of obedience to the principles of righteousness in the face of challenges or trials, wrote Tamatoa Jonassen President of the Avarua Cook Islands District of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the Cook Island News.
