On Tuesday, June 27, Christchurch Latter-day Saints hosted a blood drive event on Fendalton Road, in Christchurch.
23 litres of blood were collected to be used in the Christchurch area. Each litre collected can potentially save up to three lives.
“We know that blood is our lifeline,” commented one donor, “and I am grateful for this opportunity to serve others in our community.”
Thanks was given to all who took the time out of their evenings to attend.
President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Thomas S. Monson, has said, “It is the immutable law that the more you give away, the more you receive. You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.”
