A group of teenagers have travelled thousands of kilometres to build a house for a homeless family in Tonga this month.
The volunteers are part of the HEFY initiative that provides opportunities for young people to engage in humanitarian service in many parts of the world.
Many of the volunteers are also members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Local Latter-day Saint leader, Elder Aisake Tukuafu, visited the work-site this week to thank the volunteers for their service.
He told them they were "not just building a home, but also building families."
Adding their muscle to the project, local youth from Halaliku have been joining in with the brick and cement work.
Pale and Edwin Langi, brothers, who both recently returned from two years of missionary service, and their younger brother Tevita Langi, rolled up their sleeves to lend a hand. Tevita is preparing to serve as a missionary himself.
Their father, Paul Tongia Langi, is a builder by trade and wanted his sons to help with the house-building project.
