A group of young people from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sydney recently visited the mosque of the Ahmadiyya Community Australia.
They were greeted by Mr Qamar uz Zaman, who delighted his guests with a tour of the property. As they visited the minaret, printing press, library, and mosque hall, the visitors saw that they share many similar beliefs and values with the Islamic faith.
The visit concluded with a presentation by the national president of the Ahmaddiyya Community, Imam I. H. Kauser. Despite differences in some beliefs, there was, again, a recognition of commonality in the faiths.

Hinckley, the 15th president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, when he was living in the United States of America.
He also acknowledged the Muslim community’s longstanding friendship with several local Latter-day Saints congregations through interfaith networks and joint events.
One of the young leaders on the visit said, "What an experience it was to take a tour around this mosque and be able to learn of the Islamic faith. We look forward to meeting with our Muslim community again.”
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints encourages people of faith to strengthen their friendship with and understanding of each other.
