Young Cook Islands Artist Makes Her Mark

18-year-old Pauline Kaimarama, from the Cook Islands in the South Pacific, is making her mark as an up-and-coming artist.

Her art teacher, Charlotte Cousins, posted on Facebook, "She not only achieved Tereora College's first Excellence Endorsement in Painting at Level 3, but was also awarded Scholarship in Painting. This means out of over 3,000 painting portfolios from across NZ, she was within the top 2.8 %."

Pauline, who is considering continuing her education at Brigham Young University-Hawaii, notes, “If I could paint all day I would. It’s my passion and what I love. I can’t predict what the future holds but art is definitely part of it.”
