General Conference is a global gathering for members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to hear messages of love and hope from modern-day prophets of God and apostles of Jesus Christ, as well as other Church leaders.
Held semi-annually over five two-hour sessions in April and October, general conference originates in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, and, through technology, is sent around the world through many different channels and in multiple languages.
Sermons and music focus on ways to increase one’s faith in Jesus Christ, and offer suggestions for navigating the challenges of life with hope, peace and strength.
New this conference, Australian Sign language sessions will be available on Pacific.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
The week following General Conference, all sessions will be set up as events on the Church’s Pacific Area Facebook page. This will make it possible for people to watch General Conference together, virtually, and to comment and react in real-time.
