    Wellington New Zealand Temple Rendering Released

    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released an artist’s rendering of the Wellington New Zealand Temple on Tuesday morning the 18th of June 2024 (New Zealand Time).

    The house of the Lord—to be constructed in Porirua, north of Wellington—was announced on the 3rd of April 2022 by Church President, Russell M. Nelson. It will be the third temple in New Zealand, in addition to houses of the Lord in Hamilton and Auckland. The Auckland New Zealand Temple is under construction.

    There are 350 houses of the Lord in operation, under construction or announced around the world.
