General Conference in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints happens twice a year.
For Pilima Malafu, a widow for eight years with three teenage boys, the instruction and inspiration she receives are essential for her life.
Her boys, now 19, 15 and 12, were all raised in the Catholic Church, but after her husband died, she felt impressed that she should come back with her family to the church where she grew up.
Now she is active in her local congregation where she is the president of the Primary, the Church's organisation for children.
"My goal is to have all three of my sons serve full-time missions and my family to endure to the end and serve the Church," Pilima says.
"Conference is important to me and my family because of the direction received from our leaders, especially our beloved Prophet."
General Conference can be seen in many parts of the Pacific this coming weekend, October 10 & 11, including American Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Cook Islands, Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Kiribati and Samoa.
