“Big plans for the site of a disused Hamilton school could bring more affordable housing and a suburban retail centre,” according to a report by journalist Libby Wilson published this week in the Waikato Times.
The report continues: “Temple View's Church College closed in 2009 and the Mormon church started a project to revamp the site - it has already led to changes such as a revamp of Tuhikaramea Rd and the start of construction of a new stake centre (church building) and a park.
“Now housing developments, childcare and a suburban retail centre are in the sights of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”
