Waikato Times Reports on Church's Temple View Project

Earlier this week the Waikato Times ran an article on the Temple View project of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The project is located at the foot of the Church’s Hamilton New Zealand Temple.

The Waikato Times article quoted Elder Paul R. Coward, Area Seventy of the Church: “The temple is a sacred place for members of our church. It is where we worship God, learn more about Jesus Christ and his teachings, and where family relationships are strengthened and united for this life and the next. For many people the temple is the heart of this community. We want to ensure that the area around the temple continues to be a beautiful, useful and a lovely place for residents to live and for visitors to enjoy."

The Temple View project was dedicated on June 17, 2017 by President Henry B. Eyring, First Counsellor in the Church’s First Presidency.

It is a multi-purpose project that will provide worship, educational and cultural opportunities to thousands of members and guests of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Hamilton and beyond.
