Volunteers Clean Buildings, Tidy Gardens at Vanuatu Hospital

February is “Come and Help” month in the Pacific Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Members and friends of the Church in Australia, New Zealand and many Pacific islands are coming together to give service in their communities.

Members of the Luganville Branch (congregation) of the Church, in Vanuatu, served their neighbours by cleaning buildings, mowing grass and doing other yard-work at the Northern Provincial Hospital.

The hospital, on the island of Espiritu Santo, is the main hospital on the island and provides medical care to all the patients on the island and the islands to the north.

Helping communities and serving others is one way Latter-day Saints strive to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ.
