'I love Relief Society'

Women from across the South Pacific took to their smartphone video cameras recently, responding to an invitation to share their thoughts on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ worldwide organization for women, the Relief Society.
Watch a new video that features women explaining how Relief Society—which turns 175 years old next week—enriches their own lives and the lives of those around them.

"The Prophet Joseph Smith organized the Relief Society on March 17, 1842. He taught that the Relief Society was organized for ‘the relief of the poor, the destitute, the widow and the orphan, and for the exercise of all benevolent purposes.’ In addition, he taught that the Relief Society was ‘not only to relieve the poor, but to save souls.’”
