Over 1,400 students from seven schools in Suva and surrounding areas recently attended a career exposition sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in partnership with Fiji’s Ministry of Education.
The event, five months in the planning, was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church College in Suva.
“An objective of the expo was to help students network with universities that will prepare them for post-secondary education,” said Mereoni Sovasova, a Latter-day Saint school counselor.
“The expo helped them gather information on the particular careers they are interested in and how to map out their plans to reach their goals.”
Form Six student Mela Qaqa said the expo provided “a great opportunity to learn about what was available for post-secondary education in Fiji.”
