Polynesian Culture on Display

“A photo exhibit depicting the history of the Polynesian Cultural Center is going on display at Honolulu Hale to mark the 50th anniversary of the windward Oahu attraction,” according to an article in Samoa News.

The newspaper reports that the exhibit will be up through October 10.

“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints opened the center in 1963 to help preserve and perpetuate Polynesian culture and provide work opportunities for students at neighboring Brigham Young University-Hawaii.”
