Members of the Pacific Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently sent the following message to Church members across the Pacific Area:
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
The worldwide outpouring of love for the people of Tonga since the 15 January volcanic eruption and tsunami has been deeply appreciated.
If members of the Church in other countries wish to help the people of Tonga, we recommend that they donate to the Church’s humanitarian fund. In this way, local leaders can provide the exact resources needed.
Prayers and posted messages of love and support are also very much appreciated.
