Choir Experience is a 'High Note' of this New Zealander’s Life

New Zealander Aaron Wi Repa, of Hamilton, is in the midst of full-scale practices and is singing with the world-renowned Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, as a part of the upcoming semi-annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 30 September through 1 October 2023.

The Tabernacle Choir provides inspiring music that has the power to help people feel closer to the divine and celebrate God's love for all His children.

Wi Repa is one of 10 participants from throughout the world selected to sing as a part of the Choir's "Global Participants Programme." The other participants are from Ecuador, Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, South Africa, and South Korea

Wi Repa, and his wife and vocal coach, Adele, arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah USA on 14 September, and has been practicing with the choir and doing a lot of preparation on his own since his arrival. He has been fitted for, and received the clothing he will wear as a member of the Choir.  He's also learned his way around the historic Salt Lake Tabernacle, where the Choir practices and performs the weekly Music and the Spoken Word broadcast on Sunday mornings, as well as The Church's Conference Center, where the Choir will perform for General Conference.

All of his efforts are leading up to one performance with the Choir on Saturday morning, 30 September; and three
