Mormons Focus on Community Service

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints across the Pacific region regularly engage in organised service efforts for the benefit of their villages, neighbourhoods and communities. Latter-day Saints' efforts are inspired by the teachings and example of Jesus Christ.

Elder Kevin W. Pearson, a member of the Church's Pacific Area Presidency, says service projects "are a great blessing to many communities and a blessing to those who serve as well."

One Latter-day Saint couple in Auckland New Zealand, Dionne and Josh Shaw, decided to write and record a song about serving others, in our homes and communities.

Watch a video featuring the song here.
