Maori Student Featured in News Report Credits Her Mormon Mission and Family

Maori students attending Auckland University who served as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints credit their Church service and their families for setting them firmly on their career paths.

One student, Olivia Rapata, who is studying Science and Law, was recently featured in a news report broadcast on Maori Television.

In the report she says there is room for others who desire a brighter future.

“There are not many people in the field that I study,” she said on the news report. “There is great support for Maori students since they have great programs and tutorials because they really want to help us get into Law," she added.
