Every three years alumni of Liahona and Saineha High Schools gather in Tonga to celebrate. This year the celebration ran from July 9 through July 15.
According to an article in Matangi Tonga Online, the celebrations were “Attended by hundreds of people from throughout Tonga and abroad.” Read the full story here.
Liahona High School, located in Liahona, Tongatapu, Tonga, originally began in 1948 as Liahona College but the name was changed to Liahona High School in 1959.
Liahona High School is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Saineha High School, also owned and operated by the Church, is located in Neiafu on Vava’u. It opened in 1978.
