Volunteers packed a shipping container in Auckland recently, with text books, sporting equipment and other school supplies donated by Westlake Girls High School. The donated items are headed to Tonga and will help students and teachers.
Latter-day Saint Charities continues to partner with Pacific Assist to bring educational equipment and supplies to school communities in Pacific island nations.

“We are grateful for our friends at Pacific Assist, at the Tonga Ministry of Education, and our other partners around the region,” Latter-day Saint Charities representative, Sam Williams, said.
“We do what we do because Jesus Christ taught and showed the way to loving and lifting others. The humanitarian projects we pursue are funded by donations of members and friends of the Church, empowered by the work of volunteers, and strengthened by our partnerships.”
