New Volunteer Communication Director for the Church in Kiribati Starts Her Service

Bringing messages of Jesus Christ's hope, love and peace to the people

Reita Ienraoi is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' new volunteer communication director for Kiribati.

Ienraoi is looking forward to writing news articles about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members in Kiribati, and making new connections in the community. 

The mother of four's full-time employment is as a translator for the Church. She oversees translation of Church materials from English to the Gilbertese (I-Kiribati) language.

Ienraoi has worked in radio and media for many years. Prior to working as a translator, Reita worked at the Kiribati Government Broadcasting and Publications Authority (BPA).

She has also spent much of her time showing her love and care for others while serving as a leader for her church’s women’s organisation. She continues to serve as a teacher for the women’s group. 

Ienraoi is looking forward to bringing messages of Jesus Christ’s hope, love and peace to the people in Kiribati.

Kiribati has a population close to 130,000.  There are over 20,000 members of the Church, 42 congregations and one temple announced for construction.
