Reita Ienraoi is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' new volunteer communication director for Kiribati.
Ienraoi is looking forward to writing news articles about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members in Kiribati, and making new connections in the community.
The mother of four's full-time employment is as a translator for the Church. She oversees translation of Church materials from English to the Gilbertese (I-Kiribati) language.
Ienraoi has worked in radio and media for many years. Prior to working as a translator, Reita worked at the Kiribati Government Broadcasting and Publications Authority (BPA).
She has also spent much of her time showing her love and care for others while serving as a leader for her church’s women’s organisation. She continues to serve as a teacher for the women’s group.
Ienraoi is looking forward to bringing messages of Jesus Christ’s hope, love and peace to the people in Kiribati.
Kiribati has a population close to 130,000. There are over 20,000 members of the Church, 42 congregations and one temple announced for construction.
