French Polynesian Leader Reminisces about Meeting with President Russell M. Nelson

Representatives from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints met with French Polynesia's President Édouard Fritch this week to deliver a framed photograph of the leader meeting with President Russell M. Nelson, worldwide leader of the Church, in May 2019 in Papeete.
The group reminisced fondly about President and Sister Nelson's visit to the South Pacific last year and the opportunity for over 10,000 French Polynesians to attend a special devotional and cultural celebration at one of the country's sports stadiums.

President Fritch attended and spoke at the event after a private meeting with President Nelson earlier in the day.

"Be part of the solution, not the problem for President Edouard Fritch," exorted President Nelson to all who were in the stadium. This quote is included in the photo given to President Fritch this week.

Representing the Church at this week's meeting were Frederic Riemer, the Church's mission president, and Noelline Parker, communication director for French Polynesia.
