Youth, ages 14-18, from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in French Polynesia, gathered together to participate in the five-day event.

The theme of the conference was, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).

Following her experience, Temarii posted on her Facebook page; "Tonight I met 400 youth from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who are particularly committed to the challenges of today's society. They understand the needs to support the leaders of tomorrow. The youth during this conference are learning through education, activities, and games.  The organisation is top-notch.  It is professional and it’s beautiful. This is what our country needs.”

Temarii said she intends to invite some of the Latter-day Saint youth to assist her as she develops the country’s strategy to strengthen all youth.

Temarii concluded her remarks by saying, “To our 400 young people who are about to experience unique moments, to counselors, to young adults, to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: ‘Thank you.’”

FSY conferences are held the world over. They include devotionals, classes and activities to help strengthen young people’s faith in Jesus Christ, and to feel joy and belonging as they live the gospel.
