Elder Erich W. Kopischke, a General Authority Seventy, accompanied Elder Wakolo.

Speaking to a congregation in New Caledonia, Elder Wakolo promised that “the Lord will always help those who are not capable but willing to serve but He cannot help those who are capable but not willing.”

Elder Wakolo encouraged the members of the Church in New Caledonia and Vanuatu to focus on their studies of The Book of Mormon this year.

The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ will help you to amplify your faith in Jesus Christ,” he said.

“When you read The Book of Mormon every day, you will discover that you have the power to make better decisions, receive guidance and direction, and you will understand that the Lord loves you perfectly.”

Elder Kopischke expressed his pleasure in meeting some of the Church members in the Pacific islands and feeling “their deep faith in Jesus Christ.”
