You can’t miss it. The first thing you now see in the village of Fāhefa, on the western side of Tongatapu, Tonga is the village’s new water tank and steel tower.
This newly constructed facility will help meet the water needs for about 500 people of the Fāhefa community.

The village’s water pump was more than 30 years old and would often break. After the assessment, Church humanitarian representatives recommended that a new stand for a second water tank be installed in addition to a water pump.

All rights reserved.Lōpeti Senituli, a member of the Fāhefa Development Committee, said, “Mind you, this is not the first time the Church has assisted the village…There have been elders before us who have been knocking on doors offering help with our water supply. Today seems like a day of liberation because we are being liberated from our years of problems with our water supply. We are thankful to the members of the Church for their assistance.”
Elder Kyle Latimer, a humanitarian missionary, reminded the community that the funds for this water project came from Latter-day Saints and others who donated to the Church’s humanitarian fund. “They love our Saviour and they want to provide water to those in need,” he said.
