After years of planning and construction, the American Red Cross in American Samoa finally has a new home.

Earlier this summer, operations were moved from its former one room facility to a new, much larger facility.

Construction supervision as well as considerable labor and some materials and furniture were all donated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Director of the American Red Cross in American Samoa is Val Tuilefano. He is assisted by volunteers from throughout the community.

During the summer Fa’asaei Davenport has been helping with a summer reading class. High school students frequently come to volunteer at the facility. Mr. Tuilefano expresses gratitude for all the volunteers and the support of the community.
