As the choir sang "Come and See," the Christmas lights in the Hamilton New Zealand suburb of Temple View were illuminated for all to enjoy.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, embracing the spirit of "Light the World," has created a visually stunning display of lights to celebrate the birth of the Saviour.

Elder John R. Higgins, Area Seventy (regional leader) for the Church, inaugurated the event.
“Sometimes we get so busy in life that we don’t look for the light in the world," Elder Higgins said.
He added, "This season is the time for us to set aside the busy and remember Christ and the light that He brings into our lives. We welcome you and hope that as you see the lights of Legacy Park you will see that they symbolize the light of our Saviour.”
Before the lighting event, members of the Hamilton New Zealand Inter-faith Council gathered to celebrate their shared belief in God and to support each other in exercising freedom of religion.
The community and visitors of all faiths are invited to enjoy the lights and Christmas music performed by community choirs. The choirs will perform at 8:15 and 9:00 each evening until December 24th.
