Children from Pago Pago congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently took part in a cultural evening.
The event began with a group of children leading the singing of the national anthem.
Throughout the evening children performed cultural songs and dances, in beautiful costumes, representing several nations including the United States of America, Tahiti, Fiji, Aotearoa/New Zealand, Mexico, Samoa and Tonga.
According to one member of the audience, it was "an emotional and spiritual night."
She added that members and friends of the Church "came together as one in love and understanding that we are all created equally by our beloved Heavenly Father. No matter what language and culture we have, we are sons and daughter of Him."
President of the Pago Pago West Stake, President Adney M. Reid attended the cultural celebration, accompanied by his wife Tina Fonoimoana Reid.
