Pacific Mormon Newsroom Facebook page recently reached and has now surpassed the milestone of 30,000 likes on their site.
Pacific Mormon Newsroom is one of around 70 similar Mormon Newsroom sites around the world, including sites for Australia, Papua New Guinea and a French-language site for the Pacific.
“We’re very grateful for all of our friends who follow Pacific Mormon Newsroom and share our content with others,” said Richard Hunter, Pacific Area Director of Public Affairs for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Facebook page reaches followers throughout the world including New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Marshall Islands, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Cook Islands, Solomon Islands, and the United States.
“It is a priority for our page to provide current and up to date information of events in the Pacific Area as well as headlines from the Headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that anyone can access,” said Sister Janet Pinson, public affairs missionary currently serving in the Pacific Area Office.
The aim of Mormon Newsroom is to provide news and other resources related to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members for the information and use of news media, opinion leaders and the public.
We appreciate those who contribute to the Pacific Mormon Newsroom Facebook page as we strive to shed a light on the Saviour’s work through those who daily serve others in Australia, New Zealand and the islands of the South Pacific. It is hoped that our followers will feel inspired to love and serve their neighbours as well.
