Thousands of visitors, including many young Aucklanders, toured the Auckland New Zealand Temple during its public open house from 27 February to 22 March 2025.

All rights reserved.As a place of worship for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the temple is usually reserved for sacred ceremonies, but during this special period, the public was invited to explore its beauty and learn more about its purpose.
Ryan O’Donoghue commented about the craftsmanship: "A lot of effort has gone into building the temple, and it shows in its beauty. I felt very grateful to witness it."
Elisi Lauhingoa noted how the temple’s design conveyed a sense of spiritual progression and symbolism. “Going through each room,” she said, “getting higher and higher to the Saviour in the Celestial room. “
Vera Kniffen particularly noted the mirrors across from each other in the sealing room, representing a bond that goes on forever.

All rights reserved.She said, “There’s a joy and peace that comes from the knowledge that I’m not alone, and even though sometimes we are far away from our family, whether it’s separated by death or just distance, we can always have them with us.”
Jess Lycia was particularly struck by the exterior, saying, "The sunset was beautiful. When it got dark, the temple lit up. It felt like discovering something new."
Poro Maoate summed up the experience in one word: "Open.”
She continues, “The entire temple gives off a strong impression of openness—how the ceilings are open, the rooms are open, and also the stairs. Each reminds us of the love of God, and how His love is open to all."
With the open house now concluded, the temple will be dedicated on 13 April 2025, becoming a sacred place of worship. For many, the visit deepened their understanding of God’s love and the eternal purpose of temples.
