An historical marker was unveiled on Saturday, 10 June on the island of Aunu’u, American Samoa to commemorate the arrival of the first missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Samoa’s shores, 160 years ago.
A special service to dedicate the marker and to launch a new children’s Church history book was held in the Church’s meetinghouse on Aunu’u.
