Latter-day Saints across the South Pacific shared their thoughts and feelings about recent changes announced in the LDS General Conference broadcast this past weekend. Below are a few of their responses.

“….with this new ‘ministering’ program, the RS (Relief Society) sisters will strengthen our ward members and the community sisters by working together to expose the Church in a positive light for the Church of Jesus Christ.”

“Sometimes we think that reduce and simplify means getting rid of or eliminating programs, but I see it as allowing all ward members to work together in unity.
Combining the Elders and High Priests will give a mature perspective of those with more of life’s experience and it will motivate them and help them catch the vision of moving the Lord’s work forward.”

“I feel the changes are a manifestation of our Heavenly Father’s love for His children”

“Simplification! Less burdens on members and leaders and less burden on the family.”

“What an inspired revelation! During a recent leadership meeting we were faced with a problem that we didn’t know how to solve. These changes are exactly what was needed to solve it.”
Members of the Church across the world gathered live, in chapels by satellite broadcast, or by internet, to hear their leaders speak.
