A new Easter music video released by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is reaching a global audience, but for Bettyarah Kaleopa, it carries special meaning.
Kaleopa, a 17-year-old singer from Samoa, is the featured artist on “Greater Love,” a 2026 release from the Church’s Strive to Be youth music program. The song and accompanying music video center on the Atonement, Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
She previously sang the Samoan-language version of the 2025 youth theme song for Strive to Be.
Kaleopa said she feels honored to perform the song and share her testimony. “It’s such a heartfelt feeling to be chosen to sing ‘Greater Love’ for Easter 2026,” Kaleopa said. “I feel truly blessed and grateful for this opportunity to share my faith and testimony through music.”
Rooted in faith and culture
Growing up in Samoa helped shape both her faith and her love of music, Kaleopa said. “Singing has been such a big part of my life since I was 5 years old,” she said. “It’s more than just performing. It’s about expressing my faith, culture and heart. I feel grateful for every opportunity to sing, and I hope that through music I can help others feel hope, joy and connection.”
Kaleopa said recording the song came with both excitement and pressure. She initially felt nervous and wanted to do her best, but as she began singing, she felt a sense of peace and joy.
A message of hope and faith
Kaleopa said the song carries a message she hopes listeners will feel deeply. “The song is such a blessing to sing, and the lyrics are so powerful,” she said. “Every time I sing them, I’m reminded how amazing God’s love really is.”
DOWNLOAD“I hope people feel inspired to show more love and kindness in their everyday lives. The song shows that Easter is such a meaningful time because it reminds us of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and His love for each of us. I hope people remember that His Resurrection is a message of hope, forgiveness and new beginnings. It shows that no matter what challenges we face, there is always the chance for renewal and a fresh start.”
The lyrics reflect the Savior’s invitation to come unto Him and find comfort, strength and peace through His Atonement.
As “Greater Love” continues to reach audiences worldwide, Kaleopa remains focused on using her voice to share her faith.
Looking ahead, Kaleopa is continuing her education through BYU–Pathway Worldwide after recently graduating from the Church College of Pesega in Samoa, while also pursuing her musical goals.
“I want to keep growing as a singer and continue sharing uplifting music, especially in Samoan and English,” Kaleopa said. “I hope to inspire other young people to use their talents to bless others and bring people closer through music.”
