Ratana Church Delegation Visits Hamilton New Zealand Temple

Elder K. Brett Nattress, Pacific Area President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, welcomed a delegation of leaders and members of the Ratana Church to Temple View, New Zealand on Wednesday 24 August.

The guests toured inside the Hamilton New Zealand Temple, which will be open to the public from 26 August to 17 Septemberbefore it is rededicated on 16 October. The temple has been closed for major renovations over the past four years.

After the temple tour, guests were welcomed to the community with a powhiri, or traditional cultural ceremony.

In his remarks, Elder Nattress thanked the guests for their friendship and for coming to the temple.

Elder Nattress presented framed copies of "The Living Christ," and "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" to leaders of the group.

He shared with guests his witness that we are all children of God; that Jesus Christ is His Son, and our Saviour; and that through Jesus Christ and temples, families can be together for ever.
