The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced a new Pacific Area Presidency effective August 1, 2026. Elder Taniela B. Wakolo is serving as Area President, joined by Elder Jeremy R. Jaggi, Elder Hans T. Boom, and Elder Matthew J. Eyring.

DOWNLOADThe Pacific Area Presidency oversees the Church's ecclesiastical, missionary, temple and family history, welfare and self-reliance, humanitarian, communications, and administrative work throughout the region, which includes Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and the island nations and territories of Oceania.
Accompanying the Area Presidency in their ministry are Sister Anita Wakolo, Sister Amy Jaggi, Sister Marjan Boom, and Sister Amy Eyring. They will minister to members, missionaries, and communities, helping individuals and families to strengthen their faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and supporting the Church's work throughout the region.
Looking Forward
Under the direction of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, members of the new Area Presidency are working with local leaders to advance the Church's mission of inviting all to come unto Jesus Christ.
