Church temple construction manager, Oscar Chauk-Men Lawrence, reports that the Vava'u Tonga Temple, which is under construction, was not impacted by the quake.

Residents in low lying coastal areas were advised to move to higher ground when a tsunami warning was issued. The warning has since been lifted, and residents were able to return to their homes.

Church leaders continue to assess impact on members of the Church and our neighbours and friends.
