"Our thoughts and prayers are with all those in Nepal impacted by Saturday’s earthquake and particularly those who have lost loved ones," Church spokesman Eric Hawkins said this week.
Initial reports indicate that over 1,400 people lost their lives in the magnitude-7.8 quake and thousands more are homeless.
