Noting that it had only been a few months since LDS Charities last donated equipment (slit lamps, applanation tonometer, an automated visual field analyser and two portable retinal fundus cameras) to the eye clinic, Dr. Douglas Mehr, a part-time service missionary for the Church, observed “for some reason the heavens smiled on us and here we are two months later.”
The total value of the two donations is reported to be T$386,503.
