Latter-day Saint Women Donate 'Pamper Packs' to Salvation Army

Women from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints assembled, decorated and donated 55 “Pamper Packs” to the Salvation Army this Christmas season.

The packs, which include personal care and beauty products, were put together by Latter-day Saint women in Auckland to bring some Christmas cheer to other Auckland women.

The project was organized by Julie Lock and supported by women from the Relief Society, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ women’s organization.

“It was something we felt we wanted to do for women in our community,” said Mrs Lock.  “Often mothers, especially single mothers, try to make Christmas nice for their children, but they themselves are sometimes left out.”

The Pamper Packs contain hair and nail care items, hand lotion, perfume and chocolates.  The packs were beautifully wrapped with hand-made cards and messages of encouragement and hope.

Salvation Army representatives Sarah Fordyce and Alison Robertson expressed their delight to receive the beautiful decorated packs.
