During a national young adult convention in Hamilton, New Zealand last week, Elder K. Brett Nattress of the Pacific Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, met with Imam Sabah Al-Zafar of the Muslim faith.
The two met on the last day of the convention. Elder Nattress and Imam Al-Zafar found much in common including both of their strong interests in helping families be successful and in serving others in our neighborhoods.
“We show our love for God when we serve our neighbours and friends and when we treat them with kindness and respect.” Elder Nattress said.
“Serving each other in our homes and in our communities will foster love, respect and unity.”
Although the convention was attended predominantly by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Imam Al-Zafar and some young adults of his faith attended and participated in some of the activities.
