Kiwi Basketball Player 'Living the Dream' in the US

Moengaroa Subritzky, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Auckland New Zealand, is currently playing basketball for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES).

Moengaroa attended the Church College of New Zealand for two years where she excelled in the sport of basketball. She was noticed by a coach who offered her a scholarship to attend Thomasville Prep Basketball Academy in North Carolina, USA.

As she continued to improve her basketball skills, she was recruited to play for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, USA.

According to Te Karere TVNZ, Moengaroa is “living the dream.”  She has received several awards and honours for her basketball skills and is currently being considered as a possible WNBA player.
