Fiji Newspaper Focuses on Youth and Standards

Helping youth make choices that lead to happiness and growth

This week the Fiji Sun newspaper is highlighting the "My Standards" booklet, a publication of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints similar to the "For the Strength of Youth" booklet.

"For the Strength of Youth" is given to all young members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It teaches values and standards regarding honesty, music, dating, education and other aspects of life. The booklet has been published, in different editions, since the 1960's.

The "My Standards" booklet is a new resource that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is offering to governments and other churches if there is a desire to print it and share it with teenagers who are not Latter-day Saints.

Elder Adolf Johansson, Area Seventy in the Church, said: “The youth of today are the global citizens of tomorrow, we must teach them the standards of love and humanity to ensure a future of peace and prosperity. They are the joy of every responsible parent and the hope of every great society.”
