    Fiji Families Enjoy Time Together

    Many Latter-day Saint families in Fiji enjoy weekly family nights, continuing a worldwide, 100 year tradition among members of the faith. 

    Next Monday (27 April) will be the 100th anniversary of the day a letter was sent by leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to members of the Church worldwide, encouraging families to hold a weekly gathering to sing, learn and have fun together.

    The weekly activity, called, "Family Home Evening," is enjoyed by young couples, senior couples, families with children, and singles in many different ways. 

    The Koroinamua family of Suva use the time to talk about what is coming up for the family and any challenges they may be facing. They also read the scriptures together and play games.

    Family Home Evening is also a special time each week for the Varea family.

    They spend Monday evenings together talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ and how they can help each other to live happily.
