Church Service
Elder Matthew J. Eyring was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the April 2026 general conference.
DOWNLOADElder Eyring has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Chile Santiago South Mission, bishop, stake presidency counselor, mission presidency counselor, and Area Seventy.
Professional Life
Elder Eyring earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Utah in 1992 and a master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School in 1998. He has held senior management positions in a number of companies and worked as the vice president of career development for BYU-Pathway from 2021-2026.
Personal Life
Matthew Johnson Eyring was born in Palo Alto, California, on July 19, 1969. He married Amy Rebecca Froerer in 1995. They are the parents of five children.
