For over 50 years, the Sydney Opera House has been one of the most photographed buildings in the world.
This week, Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his wife, Sister Mary Cook, and missionaries from the Australia Sydney Mission were photographed on the steps of the landmark.
Elder Taniela B. Wakolo of the Pacific Area Presidency, Sister Anita Wakolo, and Sydney Mission leaders, Gabriel and Heather Reid, were also in the group.
The missionaries are serving for 18 to 24 months in communities across the state of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

Unpaid and paying their own way, missionaries teach interested individuals and families the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and invite all to follow the Saviour. They introduce people to The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, invite them to worship services, and help them learn the teachings of Jesus Christ and modern-day prophets and apostles.
Elder Cook, one of 15 prophets and apostles on the earth today, met with the missionaries on Monday 20 May in Sydney, thanking them for their consecrated service, and teaching them principles that will help them as they serve the Lord and teach God’s children.
