2,200 students attending schools owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tonga participated in a march this week marking the opening of Parliament 2015.

These students representing Liahona High School and three LDS middle schools joined more than 12,000 high school students from government and non-government schools throughout Tonga.
Following the parade Parliament was opened by His Majesty King Tupou VI.
Citizens of Tonga are in a festive mood as they approach the months of June and July. Upcoming events include the Liahona/Saineha Alumni Tri-Annual Celebration, Heilala Week Festival and the Coronation of His Majesty King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u Tuku’aho.
