Geoffrey Mitchell, Dunedin District President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, joined with other faith leaders earlier this month to welcome His Holiness the Dalai Lama to the southern New Zealand city.
The interfaith group met with the visiting faith leader and then posed for photographs outside Dunedin’s St Paul’s Anglican Cathedral.
Latter-day Saint Suzanne Gillies, who volunteers as the Church’s director of public affairs in Dunedin, also serves as secretary of the city’s interfaith council.
