Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints publish a monthly message for the benefit of members of the Church and other interested persons.
President Thomas S. Monson, President Henry B. Eyring and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf author these 'First Presidency Messages,' which are available at www.lds.org and in The Ensign magazine.
This month's message, written by President Uchtdorf, is titled 'One key to a happy family.'
An excerpt follows:
"The great Russian author Leo Tolstoy began his novel Anna Karenina with these words: 'Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.'1 While I do not have Tolstoy’s certainty that happy families are all alike, I have discovered one thing that most have in common: they have a way of forgiving and forgetting the imperfections of others and of looking for the good."
